Job Description

A Post-Sale Business Development Specialist will work within our Government Services business, specifically to develop and grow IRB Global government marketplace. This role will be a remote, field sales, based position, with sales calls and business development efforts being carried out Nationally.

The Post-Sale Business Development Specialist will report directly to the Vice President, Government Business Development.

The role will be integrated into the current business development field sales team, and will encompass the following:

Responsibilities
  • Implement a business development/sales plan to identify and capture new business, while growing existing business in assigned territory
  • Monitor government agency websites for new requests for proposals (RFP) of auction services
  • Analyze RFPs to determine if they are worth pursuing
  • Conduct sales calls within assigned territory on local and federal government agencies to develop business opportunities, shape RFP's, and win contracts
  • Organize and attend business development events
  • Assist in the development and execution of annual business strategy and plans
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' field sales or comparable professional experience
  • Initiative based, proven success in autonomous work environments
  • Team player with leadership abilities, who is goal oriented and results driven
  • Capable of succeeding in a highly dynamic environment
  • Highly organized and able to concurrently handle multiple tasks and projects
