Litigation Support Specialist

Matura Farrington is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Support Specialist to join our legal team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department.
Key Responsibilities- E-Filing and Document Management: Prepare and submit legal documents to state and federal courts, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
- Document Preparation and Proofreading: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Case File Management: Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy case files, ensuring easy access to critical information.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys, monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely submission of legal documents.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact between attorneys and clients, managing communications and addressing client inquiries as needed.
- Research and Reporting: Assist attorneys with legal research using various databases and resources, compiling findings into concise reports.
- Financial Management: Assist with the preparation of client invoices, time entry, and expense tracking, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- General Office Duties: Perform general office tasks, including answering phones, processing mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in state and federal filing, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Personal Qualities: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
$23 - $30/hr. depending on experience
