PRODUCTION ENGINEER (SPACECRAFT COMPONENTS)

Are you prepared to contribute to a groundbreaking team at SpaceX focused on making human life on Mars a reality? The Spacecraft Components Production team is looking for a skilled Production Engineer to assist in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced flow control devices and mechanisms for our spacecraft.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop innovative flow control devices and mechanisms for spacecraft
  • Enhance production processes and implement strategic automation for improved efficiency
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability of components
  • Perform component-level testing while upholding rigorous production standards
  • Aim for zero defects in workmanship and prepare for upcoming missions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Experience with fluid and electromechanical systems
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics, mechanics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics
  • Experience in programming (SQL, Python, C#)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary ranges from $95,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and more.
