About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Balance and Refund Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for resolving credit balance accounts for third-party payers and patients, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve credit balance accounts in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Analyze and review claims, payments, and denials to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Payer Contracting and RCM leadership, to resolve credit balance issues.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of internal, industry, and government regulations related to credit balance resolution.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party payers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical revenue cycle, with a focus on credit balance resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of general concepts and practices related to the healthcare field, including insurance follow-up processes and government regulations.
