About the Job

We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Support Specialist to support our patient transportation needs at Cooley Dickinson Health Care.

This role offers an estimated salary range of $18.50 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience and location, and requires approximately 32 hours of work per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and service while transporting patients and equipment throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Transferring patients onto and/or off beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers during patient transport.
  • Changing oxygen tanks and maintaining proper numbers in each unit.
  • Ensuring proper IV positioning and making minor adjustments as needed.
  • Monitoring patients requiring one-to-one observation and reporting any changes or concerns.
  • Responding to security and life safety issues as needed.
