Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at the State of Montana. As a key member of our Healthcare Facilities Practice, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our healthcare facilities, ensuring the effective management of our budget and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve the goals of the Healthcare Facilities Branch.
  • Oversee the budget process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of budget requests and management of appropriated funding.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the Executive Director and other stakeholders, ensuring the effective management of financial resources.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to champion initiatives that promote the efficient use of resources and improve financial outcomes.
  • Review and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Governor's Office, the Legislature, and other state agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of senior-level fiscal management experience, preferably in a healthcare or government setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
