Role Summary:

Under the guidance of our management team, the Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role involves managing patient interactions and supporting the medical staff by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors to the clinic with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring all required forms are collected.
  • Gather and verify demographic and insurance details, maintaining accurate records in our system.
  • Facilitate the registration process for new patients, preparing their charts and notifying nursing staff of arrivals.
  • Manage multiple phone lines effectively.
  • Collect co-pays and other payments during patient visits, issuing receipts as necessary.
  • Record daily charges accurately.
  • Provide condolence cards to families as requested.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized lobby area.
  • Identify and follow up on no-show appointments.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations.
  • Adhere to office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, assisting in various front office tasks as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence and other documentation as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. This entry-level position is suitable for candidates with 0-3 years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements:

The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting, as well as bending and stretching to access files and supplies. Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 30 pounds may be required. Candidates should possess manual dexterity for operating office equipment and have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in an office setting, involving regular interaction with patients and the public.
