About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Spirits Associate Brand Manager to join our team at E. & J. Gallo Winery. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive business growth and profitability for our spirits brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to achieve business objectives for assigned spirits brands
  • Manage multiple marketing platforms to ensure alignment with brand objectives and drive business results
  • Oversee the business review process for assigned brands, ensuring marketing plans are consistent with company growth and profit objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project and plan execution
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of consumer and trade behavior to inform business decisions
  • Communicate brand status and progress to management in ad-hoc meetings
  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities and key issues, drivers, and growth opportunities in partnership with Commerce Marketing and Insights teams
  • Stay up-to-date on new trends and competitive activities to drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage outside agencies to accomplish objectives on schedule and within budget
  • Oversee the work of outside agencies
  • Plan, attend, and recap monthly market visits to work alongside Sales and Distributor partners
  • Build, track, and update A&P budget for assigned brands
Requirements
  • Master's degree plus 3 years of communications, finance, marketing, military, operations, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of communications, finance, marketing, military, operations, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration degree plus 3 years of Gallo brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Spirits or Beer marketing experience
  • Public relations experience, particularly in spirits or beer
  • Agency and/or agency management experience
  • On premise spirits or beer experience
  • Tasting Room and/or direct to consumer sales experience
  • Possess CSW, CSS, WSET and/or CMS certifications
  • Familiarity with the three-tiered beverage alcohol industry distribution system
  • Multiple Gallo marketing rotations
  • Brand marketing experience
  • Experience training and developing junior level brand marketers in executing brand and organizational objectives
  • Experience managing business operations and leveraging basic finance and accounting principles
