Position Overview

OBXtek is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Flight Instructor/CI Specialist, focusing on the MC-130J MDS within the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This position is critical in delivering high-quality instruction to meet the proficiency and qualification standards set by the United States Air Force.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive instruction in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines, United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) directives, and Air Force Instructions (AFI).
  • Conduct training sessions covering various aspects including preparatory courses, initial qualification, transition, upgrade qualification, and refresher courses.
  • Ensure that all syllabi tasks are completed thoroughly and within the designated timeframe.
  • Oversee the completion of the Aircrew Graduate Evaluation Program (AGEP) in alignment with Air Force Instructions and training syllabi.
  • Utilize air traffic control services and maintain compliance with the latest Federal Aviation Administration regulations during instruction.
  • Assist in the delivery of specialized courses such as the AFSOC Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) and Crew Resource Management Course (CRM).
  • Support the Critique Program by providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of five years of AFSOC aircrew experience is required.
  • Instructor candidates should have recent instructor certification in the proposed MDS or meet specific military operational flying duty requirements.
