Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Systems Liaison to join our team at Firelands Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our clinical informatics team, you will play a critical role in the selection, design, development, and implementation of clinical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with work groups to develop work plans, prepare analyses, and coordinate training and activities for clinical systems used at Firelands Health.
  • Work with clinical and ancillary departments, physicians, and affiliated practices to integrate clinical systems and provide training and support.
  • Assist in process-reengineering and coordinate activities affecting clinical information processing and distribution.
  • Act as a liaison between Informatics and Information Technology and clinical team members to provide an understanding of clinical system capabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of Firelands Health IT and IT interoperability issues and opportunities.
  • Engage with various leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement ongoing support and training for team members.
  • Assist with technology changes, including needs analysis, vendor selection, implementation, and optimization.
  • Develop training, instructional guides, and other learning resources to increase departmental use and satisfaction in the EHR.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of documentation to assist with training end-users.
  • Provide end-user support and training in various departments to teach users to input data and run clinical systems.
  • Communicate with users to determine requirements and priorities.
Requirements
  • Three years of clinical acute care/ambulatory experience and three years of progressive leadership responsibilities in hospital departments preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio preferred. Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of EHR experience required; experience with Meditech a plus.
  • Aptitude for system analysis, project management, and design techniques.
  • Ability to use time and project management skills to complete projects and tasks on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of projects through use of department-approved forms.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures normally acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare field.
