About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Level 2 to join our team at Meijer. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with patients at various service points of contact, providing friendly and remarkable customer service to enhance overall patient health.
  • Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  • Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system, creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
  • Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory, completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
  • Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department, stocking prescription medication and maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information, ensuring the highest level of patient privacy and security.
  • Meet the requirements for licensure in their respective state, or complete Meijer Employer-based training if licensure is not required.

Requirements:

  • High School/GED.
  • Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
  • Retail/Community Practice experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a positive attitude and proficient typing skills.
  • Neat and eligible penmanship, organizational skills, prioritizing skills, teamwork, attendance, and basic math skills.
