Strategic Supply Chain Leader for Amazon Books Operations

The Amazon Books Operations team is seeking a strategic and analytical leader to build and execute a roadmap for supply chain optimization.

This role provides the opportunity to work with global teams and influence cross-marketplace initiatives.

The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will own a roadmap that aims to drive supply chain efficiencies and maximize sales, margin, and turns.

This role is critical to manage and optimize a complex procurement system and prevent out-of-stocks.

The ideal candidate will lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build technical expertise in supply chain optimization systems
  • Build and execute a strategic, cross-functional roadmap related to buying and forecasting
  • Leverage new and existing mechanisms to manage your roadmap
  • Work and liaise with internal, external, and partner stakeholders
  • Leverage data to make recommendations and decisions to improve the customer experience
  • Own multiple projects domestically and in a WW setting
  • Set goals and manage performance against key operational metrics
  • Deliver results vs team goals
  • Write documents to support the progress of your roadmap

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Excel
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others
  • Experience owning an end-to-end program strategy, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
  • Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, or logistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
