Job Summary

Midland Farms Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the mechanical and electrical needs of our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance operations, supervising a team of maintenance employees, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance operations to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of facility equipment and systems.
  • Supervise and direct a team of maintenance employees, providing guidance and resources to support their development and success.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including USDA, FSA, OSHA, ADA, and EPA, and company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve ongoing problems, implement new procedures, and develop new plans and designs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Mechanical Engineering, preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in dairy manufacturing plant maintenance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of significant, direct, and practical maintenance management experience in the food/beverage, consumer products, or manufacturing industry required.
  • Knowledge of factory automation, including PLC and HMI programming, network configuration, and servo systems.
  • Knowledge of boiler operation and steam generation, wastewater treatment, and sanitary welding, HVAC systems, air compressors, and electrical systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems, specifically Excel, Word, and SAP.
  • Ability to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training, and personnel management.
  • Ability to analyze equipment problems and identify root causes.
