- Position Summary
The Registration Specialist II plays a crucial role in assisting patients throughout the registration and arrival process for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments. This position involves gathering accurate demographic and insurance information, as well as determining patient liability when applicable at the time of service. Additionally, the specialist is tasked with financial clearance responsibilities for assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes. The Registration Specialist II is expected to greet and assist patients and internal staff in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner to foster positive interactions. Some travel between locations and extended hours may be necessary based on departmental needs.
