We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at the University of California - San Francisco. As a key member of our Accounts Receivable and Banking Services unit, you will be responsible for managing financial compliance policies and procedures, accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
Key Responsibilities- Administer defined operational programs and analyze and resolve operational problems of moderate scope.
- Provide customer-oriented, value-added collections, billing, and payment services, including counseling and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
- Manage professional relationships with students, departments, partners, and third-party agencies.
- Handle personal workload to ensure office service levels are achieved.
- Use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
- Multi-task with demanding timeframes and maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- 3 or more years of work experience with managing financial compliance policies and procedures, accounts receivable, billing, and collections with the University of California system or other higher education institution of a comparable size.
- Knowledge of core finance functions, analysis, project management, regulatory compliance, and modified payments.
- Demonstrated ability to apply theory and put it into practice with an in-depth understanding of the professional field.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- 21 credit hours in accounting.
