Airwallex Limited is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team in the US. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering operational excellence of our customer transaction lifecycle and managing our liquidity to support the company's business growth across the globe.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payments or operations, with experience working in a global, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for monitoring global end-to-end client transaction lifecycle, handling inquiries, detecting exceptions from data reports and dashboards in a timely manner, and communicating with teams and other departments to handle issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inquiries and detecting exceptions from data reports and dashboards
  • Communicating with teams and other departments to handle issues
  • Supporting daily safeguarding obligations across multiple Airwallex entities
  • Monitoring the clearing and settlement of client funds and global money pools
  • Driving data-oriented approaches to improve our liquidity management system, fund risk management, and treasury efficiency and utilization
  • Maintaining the team knowledgebase and refining standard operating procedures
  • Building data-oriented performance metrics, quality assurance framework, and tooling to monitor, detect, and remediate operational risk areas and control defects to minimize errors
  • Setting up compliant, accurate, and timely reporting data capabilities based on external regulatory and third-party requirements

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with counterparts within Operations, as well as with Commercial and Product teams, to identify and remediate FinOps-related issues. You will also have the chance to contribute to the development of our liquidity management system, fund risk management, and treasury efficiency and utilization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • 2-3+ years of experience in payments or operations at a technology company
  • Ability to rapidly understand new products and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Attention to detail and tendency towards a documented approach
  • A strong team player who thrives in working in close collaboration with other teams
  • Experience with MS Office; technical skill set of VBA, SQL, and visualization tools like Looker and Data Studio is a plus
