Job Description

The Service Manager oversees the efficient and profitable operation of the service department, focusing on productive staffing, customer retention, cost control, and achievement of objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and administering an annual operating budget for the service department.
  • Monitoring and controlling department performance using reporting and tracking systems.
  • Reviewing technicians' productivity reports and payroll records.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Collaborating with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.
  • Creating pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations.
  • Ensuring 72-hour follow-up with customers to confirm satisfaction with service.
  • Maintaining reporting systems required by general management and corporate personnel.

Requirements include:

  • 7 years of related industry experience preferred.
  • 2 years of related industry experience required.
  • 1-2 years of prior management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
