Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture relationships with trade partners, including architects, designers, and contractors, to drive consistent sales growth.
- Provide exceptional customer service in the showroom, ensuring a positive experience for clients.
- Schedule appointments and visits to existing and potential customers to present products and services that meet their current and future needs.
- Develop new accounts and partnerships, and build relationships with customers to collect information and track projects.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge to educate customers on applications and best specifications.
- Promote specifications and follow projects through to completion.
- Process orders and paperwork according to established procedures.
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding service, products, or personnel, and notify management immediately.
- Follow established sales procedures and pricing policies.
- Meet sales goals and objectives assigned by management.
- Collaborate with management to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and grow the business base.
- Two to four years of sales experience in an architectural and design environment, with prior experience working with the trade industry preferred.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree in business, architecture, interior design, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of stone and tile, and the ability to read architectural plans, are preferred.
- Excellent client service skills, people skills, and the ability to build relationships are essential.
- Effective communication skills, sales drive, and goal-oriented with a successful track record of prospecting for new accounts.
- Detailed and excellent follow-through, with proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
- Interior design background is a plus.
