Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. We provide residential, day, and individual programs designed to empower men and women with developmental disabilities in the Greater Boston area.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives within their communities. You will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to create personalized care plans and ensure the well-being of each individual we serve.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with individuals to develop and implement individualized goals outlined in their service plans.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment within residential homes and community settings, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Ensure the accurate administration of medical treatments and medications, following established procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating with clinical staff and management to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and proficiency in utilizing online applications for data entry and retrieval.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; international students may be considered with secondary education.
  • Prior experience in the human services field is preferred but not required.
  • Current First Aid Certification is mandatory.
  • CPR certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
  • Medication Administration (MAP) license certification must be completed within three months of hire.
