Responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional:

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, serious emotional disturbance (SED), serious mental illness and/or substance abuse. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Providing compassionate care, monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining a safe environment for individuals
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, or in a residential setting
  • Food Handlers Certification
