Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Professionals. We provide residential, day, and individual programs designed to support men and women with developmental disabilities throughout the Greater Boston area.

As a Direct Care Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives within their communities. You will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to create a supportive and enriching environment where each person can thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to individuals, assisting them with daily living activities and fostering their independence.
  • Collaborate with program staff to implement individualized plans that promote personal growth and achievement of goals.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by adhering to established safety protocols within both residential and community settings.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed guidelines, prioritizing the well-being of each individual.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and proficiency in utilizing relevant applications.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; international students are welcome with secondary education.
  • Prior experience in the human services field is preferred but not required.
  • Current First Aid Certification is mandatory.
  • CPR certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
  • Medication Administration (MAP license) certification must be completed within three months of hire.
