The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) is a specialized 10-bed ICU that emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered care for critically ill individuals. Equipped with cutting-edge monitoring and mechanical ventilation systems, the CCU ensures comprehensive support for patients in critical conditions. Our monitoring capabilities include continuous telemetry, pulse oximetry, capnography, and both invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic assessments.
Position Title: Professional Registered Nurse - Per Diem
Department: Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)
Cluster Departments: Cardiac Surgery ICU (CSICU) / Medical ICU (MICU) / Proger 5 ICU
Please note that this position is primarily based in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) and may involve working in clustered units as needed.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis role encompasses the provision of both professional and non-professional nursing care services in alignment with physician directives. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of assigned patients.
- Delivering professional nursing care while adhering to established standards and practices.
- Managing and overseeing processes and programs, utilizing specialized knowledge typically gained through advanced education.
- Coaching and mentoring junior nursing staff, while resolving complex clinical challenges.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Specialty nursing certifications.
