About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Manager to join our team at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our finance organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial plans and processes to support strategic planning and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and business decisions
  • Work closely with department heads, Finance leadership and Human Resources to drive enterprise level financial, headcount and strategic planning
  • Continuously identify and communicate all risks and opportunities against the existing forecast and work with budget owners to manage their spend versus targets and plans
  • Develop annual budgets and mid-year forecasts, including management presentations and corporate leadership reviews
  • Support the development of long-range planning and ad hoc analysis as applicable
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience or master's degree with 6+ years of experience required
  • MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • Life sciences (Pharma/Biotech) industry experience preferred
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizations and utilize resources effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; highly proficient in Excel based modeling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting systems, ERP systems and data visualization tools
