About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Audit and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our global EHS audit program, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and contributing to the maintenance of our EHS management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the global EHS audit program, ensuring that it creates value by providing assurance of compliance, risk management, and effective management systems.
  • Ensure EHS audits are supported in terms of strategic long-range planning, budget planning/tracking, subject matter expertise, audit scoping, audit execution, and communication.
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, including coordinating external certification body audits.
  • Contribute to EHS strategy deployment and performance improvement initiatives by consolidating audit data, identifying trends, and communicating organizational risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Science, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in EHS, including experience as an audit lead/auditor.
  • ISO lead auditor training.
  • Excellent knowledge of EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, PSM, etc.) and technical topics (safety, environment, health).
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization.
  • Experienced in developing audit programs, including strategic communication.
  • Wide range of knowledge of laws and regulations in the USA, EU, and Japan.
  • Proficient with digital technologies, including basic computer apps such as Work, Excel, Teams, etc.
Desirable Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience within a highly regulated industry (Biopharmaceutical, Chemical, Refining, Nuclear, etc.).
  • Certification in auditing (BEAC or other certification in auditing) is desired.

We offer a competitive salary range of $169,400.00 - $266,200.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
