Key Responsibilities:- Investigate Quality Issues: Conduct thorough investigations into factory quality problems, customer complaints, and consumer issues using a range of skills and techniques, including performance testing, seam evaluations, coating performance tests, microscopy, and metallography.
- Manage Work Requests: Prioritize and manage work requests using IT systems, ensuring business needs are met and time is used effectively. Collaborate with the Technical Support Team to allocate resources efficiently and maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.
- Contribute to Team Activities: Contribute to the wider activities of Materials and Crown Technology, including proactive approach to environment, health, and safety initiatives, involvement in development and innovation teams, and full participation in workshops.
- Professional Qualifications: Degree in science or engineering subject or several years of relevant experience in a similar technical support role.
- Previous Experience: Demonstrated ability to work in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to manage and plan multiple work requests, and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as 6σ.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with metal packaging technology, beverage cans, or metal vacuum closures, and statistical knowledge.
