We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee estimating, bidding, business development, and the management of multiple construction projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project administration, including the preparation of work scopes and organization of cost structures; develop, monitor, and update master and rolling schedules.
  • Identify, formalize, prepare, and submit contract modification proposals, distributing change documents to all relevant parties, and expedite requests for quotations to subcontractors and vendors while reviewing quotes for fairness and accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the project Superintendent to ensure a safe, high-quality, and productive execution of the project. Support the Superintendent in implementing company policies and executing project plans.
  • Responsible for financial reporting, ensuring commitment and projection information is current in the job costing system, preparing monthly progress reports that incorporate new subcontract amounts, material purchase costs, and change orders, and preparing owner billing by compiling costs and reviewing subcontractor invoices.
  • Assist the estimating team with bids, effectively quoting work for smaller scope jobs, conducting quantity takeoffs for both contracted jobs and those being bid, and participating in bid reviews prior to submission.
  • Aid in negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients.
  • Review all subcontractor and vendor shop drawings, product data, samples, and manuals for compliance with contract documents and coordination with other work.
  • Contribute to Business Development efforts.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in heavy civil, railroads, bridges, or marine construction.
  • Preferred knowledge of earth anchors, soil retention walls, pile driving, auger cast piles, micro piles, wells, and helical piers.
  • Proven leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal and external clients.
  • Familiarity with project management control systems, including scheduling, cost control, procurement, value engineering, and estimating.
  • Ability to read and interpret project specifications, prepare project submittals, and compile post-job reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, along with scheduling and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Capable of working independently while being part of a team.
