Commercial Construction Traveling Superintendent

We are seeking a highly experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team of professionals in the commercial construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to different job sites across the country to oversee and manage all construction activities, including scheduling, coordination, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project planning, execution, and completion.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and address any issues or delays, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment on the construction site.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and other project-related records.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to construction crews and other team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record of successful project management and completion.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work at different job sites across the country for extended periods of time.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, techniques, and codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with construction software and technology tools.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in construction management or related field are a plus.
