About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and mentor a team of culinary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
    • Implement and maintain effective food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Menu Development and Planning
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our guests.
    • Work closely with the culinary team to plan and execute menu items, ensuring that they are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management and Cost Control
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all food products are stored and handled in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Implement effective cost control measures to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Staffing and Scheduling
    • Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure that the kitchen is adequately staffed at all times.
    • Work closely with the HR department to recruit and hire new staff members.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a full-service restaurant or events venue.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of meeting projected costs and achieving high levels of food quality and safety.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Strong knowledge of food preparation methods, kitchen operations, and inventory management.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
