Job Description

The Area Sales Manager is a key role within the Frank Beverage Group, responsible for driving sales growth and expanding product distribution in assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales representatives and retailers to drive sales and product placement.
  • Secure and expand distribution in assigned trade channels by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts.
  • Lead and manage a sales team, including merchandisers, to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Coach, train, and motivate sales representatives to achieve monthly priorities, quarterly volume goals, and distribution and feature/promotion goals.
  • Review and analyze sales data to identify opportunities, underperforming accounts, or potential loss of distribution within an account.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute local brand programs.
  • Achieve assigned sales goals and objectives in respective selling areas.
  • Execute brand marketing plans and strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Conduct sales meetings and product presentations to drive sales and product adoption.
  • Provide regular communication and updates to the sales team.
  • Work with supplier representatives to meet supplier goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on product portfolio and promotions to effectively communicate with sales representatives and retailers.
  • Manage expenses to budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Participate in shelf resets and product displays to drive sales and product visibility.
  • Sell, merchandise, and build displays to drive sales and product adoption.
  • Prepare and present staff trainings in key accounts to drive sales and product knowledge.
  • Sell, budget, and coordinate the execution of special events in designated areas to drive sales and product adoption.
  • Attend on-premise promotions as needed to drive sales and product visibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales team and drive sales growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or marketing.
  • On or off-premise experience and previous sales experience within the beverage industry.
  • Management experience and understanding of shelf management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Driven for results and able to handle complexity and change on the go.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Results-driven, energetic, and proactive with polished sales and presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach, train, motivate, influence, and analyze sales data.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor salesperson's permit.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain any other permits, licenses, etc. that may be required by the Company.
  • May need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and up to 160 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to crouch, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to sit in a car for extended periods.
