Area Sales Manager

The Area Sales Manager is a key role within the Frank Beverage Group, responsible for driving sales growth and expanding product distribution in assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales representatives and retailers to drive sales and product placement.
- Secure and expand distribution in assigned trade channels by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts.
- Lead and manage a sales team, including merchandisers, to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Coach, train, and motivate sales representatives to achieve monthly priorities, quarterly volume goals, and distribution and feature/promotion goals.
- Review and analyze sales data to identify opportunities, underperforming accounts, or potential loss of distribution within an account.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute local brand programs.
- Achieve assigned sales goals and objectives in respective selling areas.
- Execute brand marketing plans and strategies to drive sales growth.
- Conduct sales meetings and product presentations to drive sales and product adoption.
- Provide regular communication and updates to the sales team.
- Work with supplier representatives to meet supplier goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product portfolio and promotions to effectively communicate with sales representatives and retailers.
- Manage expenses to budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Participate in shelf resets and product displays to drive sales and product visibility.
- Sell, merchandise, and build displays to drive sales and product adoption.
- Prepare and present staff trainings in key accounts to drive sales and product knowledge.
- Sell, budget, and coordinate the execution of special events in designated areas to drive sales and product adoption.
- Attend on-premise promotions as needed to drive sales and product visibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales team and drive sales growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or marketing.
- On or off-premise experience and previous sales experience within the beverage industry.
- Management experience and understanding of shelf management.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Driven for results and able to handle complexity and change on the go.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other sales and marketing tools.
- Results-driven, energetic, and proactive with polished sales and presentation skills.
- Ability to coach, train, motivate, influence, and analyze sales data.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor salesperson's permit.
- Ability to acquire and maintain any other permits, licenses, etc. that may be required by the Company.
- May need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and up to 160 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to crouch, reach, and grasp.
- Ability to sit in a car for extended periods.
