Job Summary:

LanceSoft is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical automation systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop detailed automation design documents and test plans to ensure alignment with technical approach and compliance with functional specifications.
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot hardware issues and resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
  • Design Innovation: Develop innovative designs to meet performance, reliability, serviceability, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Material Selection: Analyze and validate material/component selection, performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to complete subsystem and system verification.
  • Business Acumen: Evaluate and prioritize pertinent business tasks with limited information.
  • Electrical Design: Conceptualize, engineer, and complete detailed design of controls, safety, and power circuits for process automation.
  • CAD Design: Use CAD tools to design electrical schematics, pneumatic systems, and panel layouts for automation systems per requirements.
  • Specification Creation: Create specifications from various sources, including from scratch as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Major.
  • Experience: 15+ years of process automation experience in a regulated industry.
  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of and strong hands-on experience with system/hardware integration, stage gate engineering design processes, and IEC and NFPA style electrical schematics.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional teamwork, coordination, and communication skills, with ability to work independently with minimal direction.
