Position Overview: We are in search of an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering division, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our metrology gauges, with a primary focus on electrical system design, prototype evaluation, and facilitating the transition of components into production. This hands-on role demands exceptional design capabilities, innovative thinking, and effective collaboration across multiple projects.

Key Duties:

  • System Design: Engineer electrical architectures, wiring for industrial machinery, electrical panels, digital and analog circuits, and DC-DC power supply systems.
  • Documentation Management: Develop and revise electrical wiring schematics, rectify electrical drawings, and produce PCB manufacturing documentation.
  • Manufacturing Assistance: Address inquiries related to PCB manufacturing, identify alternatives for outdated components, support assembly teams, troubleshoot systems, and provide guidance to Field Service Engineers.
  • Control System Engineering: Design control systems, manage Brushless DC Servo Motor Controls, test, maintain, and modify systems, and engage with microcontrollers and FPGA (C and VHDL/Verilog).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience: At least 10 years in a relevant field.
  • Skills:
    • Solid understanding of control and electrical system design for automated industrial applications.
    • Leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Strong prototyping abilities and practical engineering lab experience.
