Operations Manager Trainee

About the Role

The Operations Manager Trainee is a key position within our organization, responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to independently manage a financially viable PDS supported dental office. As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals, learn new skills, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Modeling Company Culture: You will be responsible for modeling our company culture, values, and standards, and actively learning how to create an environment that promotes PDS culture and values daily.
  • Team Management: You will assess, hire, and retain the right fit team members through comprehensive training, supervision, counseling, and coaching.
  • Issue Resolution: You will assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing the facts and circumstances to develop timely, effective, logical yet creative solutions.
  • Operational Execution: You will execute the PDS Operational Model with consistency to meet identified office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Financial Management: You will drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth, manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget, and show proficiency and adherence to cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Leadership and Development: You will be responsible for delivering effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement, and creating a win-win need for change.
  • Compliance and Reporting: You will ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory bodies, and report weekly to the Regional Manager detailing accomplishments, areas for improvement, clear performance goals, and effectiveness of systems.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
  • Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Travel: Must be able to timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day, and have reliable means of transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of what a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This is primarily a sedentary office classification but may require field visits and driving. Temperature conditions are controlled with no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.

Upon completion of the Operations Manager training program, this role will be a salaried position.
