Building and Systems Engineering Technician

UPS is currently hiring Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics to perform maintenance activities that keep our package handling facilities operating efficiently and effectively.
This role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, with a focus on troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing electrical and mechanical components. Ideal candidates must be available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24 x 7 operation.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including AC and DC electrical equipment, motors, reducers, drive chains, and conveyor belts.
- Inspect and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, including hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment, including conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.
- Weld equipment as defined by scope of work.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
- Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions.
- Starting Hourly Rate: $34.01
