Building Systems Engineer

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, which provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Develop and implement an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
- Ensure safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Review and inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure optimal performance.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach and share knowledge with others, demonstrating expertise in job disciplines.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and building consensus to reach agreements.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience, or a combination of experience and education.
- Universal CFC certification is preferred, along with certifications/licenses required by local or state jurisdictions.
- Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, including calculating complex figures.
