Director of Assessment and Evaluation

The College Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director, AP Statistics Assessment Lead. This key position is responsible for ensuring the quality and validity of all assessment content for the AP Statistics Exam.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the AP Statistics Course Lead to develop, manage, and deliver assessment content that meets the highest standards of academic rigor and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage all assessment content for the AP Statistics Exam, including item development, review, and administration.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts, including college professors and secondary school teachers, to develop and refine assessment content.
- Train and support educators in the development and implementation of assessment content.
- Ensure the AP Exam development aligns with approved curricula and test specifications.
- Conduct regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to review and refine assessment content.
- Lead the successful scoring of student AP Exams at the annual scoring event and produce AP Reading publications materials for teacher and student use.
- A Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a strong preference for a doctorate in the discipline.
- Experience in standardized assessment development, with a strong track record of success.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technical acumen and aptitude, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and browser-based applications.

Our salary range for this position is $80,000 to $135,000, with a careful determination based on location, relevant experience, and the external labor market.
