Key Responsibilities- Customer Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing proactive solutions to enhance their competitive edge.
- Sales Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, making effective sales presentations and utilizing our sales model to grow the territory.
- Sales Performance: Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets, including Harbor Brand goals, consistently.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and guide a team of experts to deliver a tailored approach for customers, utilizing industry metrics to perform effective customer business reviews.
- Communication: Deliver timely critical information for procurement and delivery needs to customers, working with inside customer sales representatives to maintain account activities.
- Inventory Management: Responsibly consider inventory levels on both stock and non-stock products to assure minimal shortages.
- CRM Utilization: Utilize CRM to facilitate customer and internal communications, analyzing data to inform sales strategies.
- Collections: Assume responsibility for collections of monies on all product sold.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, attending trade shows, seminars, vendor demonstrations, and meetings.
- Education: Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred.
- Experience: Successful track record in building a sales territory in the foodservice industry preferred.
- Sales Skills: Ability to confidently close the sale.
- Inventory Knowledge: General inventory / operations / culinary knowledge (dining establishments).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and computation skills.
- Technology: Computer literate and willing to embrace new technology.
- Travel: Ability to travel.
- Credentials: Ability to pass background investigation and drug test.
