Position Overview

Are you an enthusiastic professional with a commitment to delivering exceptional service? The ideal candidate will manage equipment orders, pricing assessments, and invoicing while serving as a vital link between our sales team, clients, and suppliers to ensure a seamless experience from initiation to completion. Department 702 (Work Truck Team) is seeking a Sales Support Representative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, customer needs, and operational processes.
  • Assist clients by providing pricing information, processing orders, coordinating shipping, delivering updates, and managing warranty concerns.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to articulate customer requirements and resolve production challenges.
  • Work with Accounts Receivable to clarify invoicing and credit terms; assist in resolving payment issues.
  • Learn to accurately estimate costs and complete all necessary steps in the quoting process, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
  • Enhance product knowledge to effectively understand and communicate how product components function.
  • Efficiently gather and relay customer specifications.
  • Process orders in accordance with departmental protocols, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Forecast potential revenue and profitability for each order by keeping sales prices and estimates current, including labor and material costs.
  • Address operational matters such as delivery schedules, order modifications, supplier assembly inquiries, invoicing, and warranty issues promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor order status, component availability, delivery timelines, and cost management to achieve objectives.
  • Review job costs to identify opportunities for cost savings; assist in enhancing margins on repeat or multi-year orders.
  • Engage with clients and suppliers professionally; occasionally host client visits to ensure a positive experience and strengthen relationships.
  • Demonstrate consistent improvement towards proficiency in training areas as outlined in the training objectives document.
  • Participate in classroom and online training sessions to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid mathematical skills.
  • Ability to analyze issues and devise solutions.
  • Capable of managing time and tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel overnight, limited to 10% of the time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business fields.
