Job Description

Job Summary

Innoflight LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Lab Manager to lead our laboratory operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our laboratory, ensuring that research activities are conducted smoothly and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lab Operations Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Staff Management
    • Manage and mentor laboratory staff, including training new employees and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Facilities Management
    • Assign tasks related to routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of laboratory equipment and infrastructure to appropriate staff or external service providers.
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities are documented and that any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage the laboratory budget, including ordering supplies, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure that the laboratory adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations, including proper waste disposal and emergency procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that all staff are trained in safety protocols.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Maintain accurate records of lab activities, experiment results, and equipment usage.
    • Prepare reports on lab performance, research progress, and budget expenditures for review by senior management.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory management, including staff supervision and facilities oversight.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications
    • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
