We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Civil Engineer to take on the role of Head of our Civil Department.
Our firm primarily focuses on the energy sector, while also engaging with public agencies and private developers. We are proud to hold several significant multi-year contracts, particularly with SDG&E, for both civil site design and distribution design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the civil engineering team, ensuring project delivery meets client expectations.
- Oversee project management, including employee supervision and client interactions.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design tasks, ensuring compliance with local agency requirements.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment, upholding our commitment to equal opportunity.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registered Civil Engineer in California (RCE).
- A minimum of five years of experience in managing teams and projects.
- At least fifteen years of experience in civil design, specifically with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with local agency regulations and requirements.
- Ability to independently manage a team and engage with clients effectively.
Preferred Experience:
- Design experience in electric utilities.
- Involvement in public agency projects.
- QSD and QSP certifications.
