Position Summary

As a pivotal member of Sedaro, you will contribute to the development of an innovative digital twin platform tailored for intricate systems. We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to assist in our mission of creating highly scalable simulation software for space systems hosted in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in constructing and deploying cloud-native, distributed applications, with a deep understanding of crafting software that scales effectively. This role requires a balanced approach to decision-making, knowing when to act swiftly and when to be meticulous. We value autonomy, constructive feedback, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines. You will take ownership of projects from inception to completion, grasping the overarching vision and its relevance to various business facets. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks is essential, along with the ability to produce clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of system segments while ensuring a stable server environment.
  • Oversee the cloud-based application architecture that leverages parallel distributed simulation.
  • Regularly evaluate server code for performance enhancements and devise solutions for efficient data management.
  • Develop unit, functional, and integration tests for new services and features, while exploring new testing methodologies to enhance maintainability and speed.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and feature enhancement efforts.
  • Engage in design discussions, providing engineering insights for product specifications.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and suggest improvements to the existing codebase.
  • Establish and manage testing schedules to optimize user interface and experience across various platforms.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in developing cloud-native applications.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an individual contributor with proficiency in some of the following technologies:
    • Python
    • Rust
    • TypeScript/Javascript
    • NodeJS
    • React
    • Kubernetes
    • Terraform
  • Familiarity with unit testing and implementation.
  • Experience consuming multiple service APIs.
  • Knowledge of analytics, testing, and crash reporting.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, and REST APIs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in developing gaming engines such as Unity or Unreal.
  • Experience in architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and natural language processing.
