Position Overview

As a Systems Engineer at V2X, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a U.S. Government client on a significant mission-critical development and maintenance initiative. This involves the design, construction, delivery, and operation of a network operations environment, with a focus on integrating new cybersecurity capabilities to counteract emerging threats. We are currently seeking a Senior Google Cloud Architect to evaluate and create cloud-based architectures and requirements, as well as to develop derived requirements and systems engineering documentation for advanced cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities


• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to formulate innovative, cloud-centric architectures that deliver enhanced cybersecurity capabilities to a major U.S. Government client.

• Work alongside Agile Scrum teams in the design and execution of advanced, cloud-focused cybersecurity solutions.

• Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and end-users to discuss capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories, facilitating the derivation, development, and decomposition of subsequent updates and specifications.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:


• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

• Eligibility for DHS Suitability.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.

• Minimum of 2 years in Google cloud architecture.

• Proficient knowledge and implementation experience with Google cloud technologies.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with significant experience in guiding technical teams and projects.

• Capable of functioning effectively as a leader, within a team, or as an individual contributor.

• Strong understanding of IT products and services.

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT Service Operations.

• Innovative and technical mindset.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.

• Proficient in analyzing information and identifying pertinent facts.

• Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive outcomes, with a proven history of achieving desired results.

• Strong and diverse business and technical insight.

• Experience collaborating with senior leadership, including VP and Director levels.

Preferred Skills:


• Familiarity with implementing and maintaining a Google Cloud environment.

• Knowledge of technologies in a cloud setting, such as Elk Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), Ansible, Nessus, ClamAV, AIDE, Splunk, DNS, NAT, and git.

• Experience with Azure Cloud and AWS Cloud technologies and their implementation.

• Proven experience managing multiple teams and projects in an agile development environment.

• Background in DevOps and/or DevSecOps practices.

• Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

• Experience in projects that implement analytic models into production systems.

• Familiarity with Google technologies, including migrations to and maintenance of a Google environment.

• Proficiency with agile tools, such as Jira and Jira Align.

Educational Requirements:


• A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Two years of relevant work experience may substitute for each year of degree-level education.

Desired Certifications:

• DoD IAT Level II and AWS Cloud-related certifications.
