As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing, securing, and overseeing cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability assessment. You will also bridge the gap between Department of Defense (DoD) requirements and technical teams, crafting innovative solutions for intricate challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Over 4 years of experience in securing cloud environments and applications, particularly within AWS GovCloud.
  • Proficient in centralized logging, boundary defense, Palo Alto Firewalls, system patching, role-based access control (RBAC), Identity and Access Management (IdAM), Zero-Trust Architecture, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Skilled in breaking down complex problems and use cases for both external stakeholders and internal teams.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Must possess a Secret clearance.
  • Ability to achieve DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise-level security, including domains, Domain Name System (DNS), group policy objects, or single sign-on solutions.
  • Familiarity with Splunk or other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Understanding of Authority to Operate and DoD Cloud SRG requirements.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering is preferred.
  • AWS Certification is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Compensation Structure:

Booz Allen Hamilton determines salary based on various factors, including education, skills, experience, and geographic location. The anticipated compensation range for this role is $84,600.00 to $193,000 annually.

Work Environment:
