We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and maintainable Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain a high-quality codebase.
  • Develop and maintain data storage solutions using Postgres.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years of experience specifically in Ruby on Rails.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Proven experience with RESTful API integration.
  • Knowledge of server-side templating languages such as Liquid, Slim, etc.
  • Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as SCSS, based on project requirements.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g., Git, Mercurial or SVN).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment.
  • Proven experience with Postgres or similar relational databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
  • Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized.
