Principal Vehicle Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Vehicle Engineering Project Manager to join our team at IT Motives. As a key member of our Engineering and Construction Division, you will be responsible for managing new and existing projects related to rail vehicle engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Develop requirements, specifications, design criteria, and engineering standards for rail vehicle systems and associated hardware.
- Evaluate the functional feasibility, design, and reliability of various electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and hardware associated with existing and future rail vehicles.
- Administer or assist with the administration of various contracts relating to the procurement, installation, testing, and start-up of rail vehicles and vehicle-related systems, hardware, software, and equipment.
- Oversee and coordinate contractor work to ensure proper scheduling of activities and minimal impact to ongoing rail operations.
- Witness, document, and provide approval of testing of various rail vehicle systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with rail operations on design and construction of rail vehicle improvement projects.
- Perform engineering analyses, write technical reports, and make recommendations as required.
- Represent the company at interagency meetings and proceedings as a technical expert.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Rail Vehicle, or Structural Engineering is required.
- Professional Engineer registration in the State of Oregon is desired.
- A Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
- Six (6) years of total credited experience in Project Management or Engineering is required.
- Two (2) years of experience in Transportation, rail/bus transit is a must-have; aerospace or automotive experience is preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in large-scale projects/programs is preferred.
