Compensation:
The hourly pay rate for this position is $32.12.

Position Purpose:

The role involves inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems at various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and perform troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems to identify necessary repairs. Provide estimates for time and materials for assigned tasks.
  • Dismantle equipment to access and repair defective components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices. Reassemble and test equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Inspect and calibrate flow meters, gauges, and related controls, diagnosing operational issues and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, including pumps, engines, and other related equipment, while promptly reporting any operational issues.
  • Fabricate devices and assemblies from steel, and may perform welding, threading, and soldering as required.
  • Maintain facility infrastructure, including replacing or installing damaged components such as windows, doors, and flooring.
  • Engage in manual labor, including cleaning and waste disposal, while operating vehicles for operational purposes.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and spares.
  • Support training and orientation for new or less experienced maintenance personnel.
Work Environment:
  • Work primarily in an operational environment, with exposure to outdoor conditions.
  • Travel may be required for training purposes.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency situations.
  • Potential exposure to operational hazards, including chemicals, noise, and machinery.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, with proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Basic mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and shop equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Relevant training and certifications as required by the position.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
