Position Overview: The role of a Wood Truss Sales Specialist involves providing wood floor and roof trusses to builders and general contractors focusing on single-family residential projects. A solid understanding of the construction sector and a demonstrated sales ability are essential. Candidates should ideally possess 2-3 years of relevant sales experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Market Development:
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities with builders, contractors, and developers.
    • Enhance and nurture relationships with current clients to boost sales performance.
    • Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales objectives.
  2. Product Knowledge:
    • Inform clients about the advantages and specifications of wood roof and floor trusses.
    • Offer technical support and insights regarding truss specifications and installation guidelines.
    • Keep abreast of industry developments, building regulations, and standards pertaining to truss systems.
  3. Quotations and Proposals:
    • Create precise and competitive pricing quotes and proposals tailored to client needs and project specifications.
    • Negotiate sales agreement terms to ensure mutual satisfaction.
  4. Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, production, and logistics to guarantee timely delivery and high-quality service.
    • Work with clients and contractors to arrange deliveries and address any issues that may occur.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in sales, particularly within the construction sector, with a focus on wood trusses.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster and maintain client relationships.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficient in software applications such as MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as necessary.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is highly preferred.
