Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Engineer who exemplifies exceptional service standards and can implement them effectively.

This role is a vital component of our facilities team, responsible for managing some of the most efficient and cost-effective data center environments in the sector.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers focused on electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring the maintenance and repair of our data center infrastructure.

We prioritize our customer requirements for uptime and maintain our facilities to the highest standards to guarantee uninterrupted service.

If you have experience working with critical data center systems, including UPSs, PDUs, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment, and Building Controls, as well as industrial electrical equipment and systems, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and repair critical Data Center systems, including UPS, PDU, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment, and Building Controls.
  • Develop reliability reports to ensure that availability and capacity targets are consistently met, achieving 100% uptime.
  • Coordinate and supervise all maintenance vendors to ensure personnel safety and protect critical equipment.
  • Create necessary MOPs (Method of Procedure), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and EOPs (Emergency Operating Procedures) to ensure compliance during maintenance activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities is required, with 5+ years preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge in operating, maintaining, and testing critical electrical distribution systems and HVAC systems is essential.

Ability to interpret commercial building blueprints and understand electrical schematics is necessary.

Strong technical writing skills and experience in creating and modifying MOPs/SOPs/EOPs for critical facilities equipment are important.

Candidates must possess reliable transportation for work shifts and emergencies, with travel expected to be minimal.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl regularly.

Comfort in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities is crucial, along with the willingness to work outside normal business hours.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
