Job Overview

MalaceHR is in search of a Facility Operations Engineer to oversee the management of systems within commercial properties.

This role operates on a schedule of 12-hour shifts, alternating between three days one week and four the next, with day shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM and night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance and monitor repairs for Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Oversee facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory management, and general upkeep.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to optimize HVAC systems and related equipment.
  • Document readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure equipment operates effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols for the storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Regularly check tool and instrument inventory, and assess the quality and cost of maintenance work performed by external contractors.
  • Follow all safety procedures, ensuring good housekeeping and the safety of work areas, while identifying hazards and proposing solutions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing systems in commercial buildings.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, identifying issues and implementing corrective measures.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification is required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Completion of two years of vocational training in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

This position requires successful completion of drug and background screenings.
