Job Summary

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Pediatric Specialty Hospital team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the clinical direction of an RN, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, lifts, and repositioning as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean patient-care environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in patient education and support, promoting healthy behaviors and outcomes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective patient care and team collaboration.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
