Job Overview:
CNO Financial Group is seeking a dedicated Account Management Associate to nurture and oversee relationships within a diverse portfolio of small market clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring that clients derive maximum value from their Optavise solutions.

As the primary point of contact for client decision-makers and brokers, you will advocate for client needs and ensure their ongoing success with our offerings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, aligning delivery resources with client objectives.
  • Identifying and pursuing new upsell and cross-sell opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
  • Facilitating effective communication initiatives to meet client engagement goals.
  • Monitoring client objectives and ensuring they are met through regular engagement and reporting.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to keep them informed of client developments that require their attention.

Client Retention Strategies:
You will implement strategies to minimize client turnover by swiftly addressing risks and engaging with sales and leadership for appropriate action. Additionally, you will lead contract renewal discussions, typically ranging from $5k to $50k, while maintaining a revenue base of existing business to meet company goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The Account Management Associate role is ideal for individuals who have:
  • A proven track record in selling to and serving small to mid-market employers.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to support sound, business-focused decision-making.
  • The ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while staying organized.
  • Expertise in sales methodologies and effective collaboration with both internal and client resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present confidently to large groups.
  • A willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess an Associate's degree or have four years of experience in employee benefits account management, along with two years of client services or account management experience in the employee benefits or HR sector. Experience managing multiple projects or clients is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or eight years of relevant experience is preferred. Additionally, candidates with five or more years in client services/account management within the employee benefits or HR domain, particularly with benefits technology experience, will stand out.
